This week you will complete your car. If you want to add some paint you are more than welcome. I should have some this week. If you are painting we will have to do this right off the bat so that your car has time to dry and we can continue to work on it.
One area we are going to spend some time on is sail design. Each car design team will have to decide the shape and size of their sail. Then we will have to connect it to the mast. By the end of the week, I am hoping to begin to do some dry runs of our cars to do some adjustments to the sails and wheels.
Finally, I will be doing some interviews of willing teams that will be placed on our YouTube channel. I will be asking you to answer the following questions:
1. What is something you have learned in this unit?
2. Explain the design process of your sail car? Why did you design your sail car that way?
3. What is your prediction of how well your sail car will compete compared to other sail car designs?
4, What would you suggest to Mr. Shoemaker to change in this unit that would benefit students who will do this project in a few years?
If you haven't subscribed to our class channel, I hope that you will. Share with others some of the work that you are doing.
