This is an awesome YouTube channel that I found the other day. Here is a channel where scientists talk about their personal lives, and stories. Its very interesting. Here are two.
For the past few weeks if you have watched the news you have heard about the Syrian Crisis going. These people from Syria are forced to go to Europe. Its a complicated issue. This video will help to explain it.
I saw this video on the Nat Geo channel the other night. This show challenges what you know about science. See how well you do by answering the questions along with the contestants on the show.
I want to share one of my favorite YouTube Channel: Veritasium. Derek Muller is able to explain some complex scientific ideas in common sense words, and experiments. At times he has an expert to help him explain these scientific ideas.
This week we will looking at two videos from the Crash Coarse Channel about what most of the 8th graders are working on in American History classes. The first video is about the Constitution, The Articles of Confederation, and Federalism.
The second video is of the same vein. It is about who won the American Revolution.
Both of these videos are very good, at giving accurate information. I hope that you get the chance to check out these videos. I would like to hear from you what you learned from these videos.
For our first video of the week, it is actually a DEEP DIVE. A deep dive is a series of videos that go in-depth on a single topic.
Our topic for today is helicopter science from one of my favorite YouTube Channels: Smarter Everyday. At the end of this video is a link to all the other in the deep dive. The videos in this series show how helicopters work, and the science behind it. There is so much to get from these videos. There is the science of tork, rotation, aerodynamics, and G-forces just to name a few that are covered in these videos.
My goal is to have you watch these on your own time, and leave some comments at the bottom about some of things your learned from these videos.
